  • Nothing gives me bigger goosebumps than this video. Full of inspiration, this video shows former Eastern Carolina running back, Giavanni Ruffins as he goes through his daily workout routine. The song is ‘Your Hand In Mine’ by Explosions In The Sky. Hopefully watching this video gives people a little pep in their step.

  • Striving For Strides

This past weekend I decided to sign up for a half-marathon in Kalamazoo. My friend, whom lives in Chicago, encouraged me to sign up after she had ran the Chicago Marathon last fall. At first I was a little hesitant. I can run 3 miles no problem, but will my legs propel me for another 10? This is a goal that I am determined to finish; I have legs, I have the ability to run and I have friends and family that support me in everything I do. I don not care how long it takes me, as long as I cross the finish line knowing I accomplished my goal. I encourage everyone to start running. Whether it’s down the neighborhood block and back, get out there and enjoy it. Push yourself for how far you can go, keep those legs churning. There’s no better feeling than finishing a long, sweaty workout. Strive for strides ladies and gents!
